Guatemala Coastal Restoration Projects

The Guatemala Coastal Restoration Projects are focused on restoring the heavily degraded mangrove estuary and coastal forests on Guatemala's southern coast. The project provides jobs for communities to restore their mangrove forest, opportunities to start agroforestry businesses, and restoration of the shellfish and fishing potential of the region. This model provides immediate and long-term solutions that benefit both communities and environment.
